Walton and Emily's proposal session was one to remember. Back in 2021, I photographed one of his high school friend's proposals, then in 2022, I photographed another good friend of his proposal, and now, I got to finish off the friend group with Walton's surprise proposal to Emily.
Walton had reached out to me on the drive home from me turning in my two weeks at Samford Athletics, a place I worked both in college and was my first full time job! I love that place and it was EXTREMELY hard to leave, but the Lord had his hand in the decision! Walton shot me a text explaining how he knew me and the Lord really used it to calm me down and reassure me that I am supposed to go full time freelance and I haven't looked back since!
Walton and I then met in person to discuss where at Independent Presbyterian Church, as it is the church Emily attended since she was a child. We found the best spot to do it where it would be both pretty and secluded away from people. Walton decided to propose on a Sunday morning as they were both dressed nicely for church and to keep all suspicion to a minimum! Emily had absolutely no idea that Walton was proposing, but was so excited! Her best friend Gracie, one of the friends whose proposal I also photographed, was there to congratulate her and then secretly ran off to the party at The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook, AL.
The party went off without an issue and both Walton and Emily were so happy to have photos of everyone celebrating their engagement!
